Description:

Abstract:

This coverage contains polygons that represent the  boundaries of land areas in Iowa that are owned or managed in some way by the Iowa  Department of Natural Resources (DNR).  In most cases, the data was obtained from DNR  land  acquisition files and is current to platted maps sheets through the winter of 2002. This coverage also contains a database relating the land areas to DNR inventory   information, including inventory number, name, size, ownership and management, managing  bureau or agency.

Purpose:

This digital, geographically referenced data set was developed by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources to carry out agency responsibilities related to management, protection, and development of Iowa's natural resources.

Supplemental_Information:

This coverage will be updated as new plats are added or updated by the Land Acquisition Bureau.

This digital, geographically referenced data set was developed by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources to carry out agency responsibilities related to management, protection, and development of Iowa's natural resources.  It resides in the Natural Resources Geographic Information System library.
